PROPOSAL STRATEGIST & DESIGNER

Location: Lebanon, TN

Position: Full-Time

Department: Sales / Marketing

At GSF Media, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Since 1997, we’ve helped brands grow through clear strategy, creative execution, and content that converts. Every proposal we create is built from the ground up — tailored to the client and designed to communicate value with clarity.

We’re not looking for someone to fill in templates. We’re looking for someone who understands how to connect what a client needs with what we offer and then then present that in a way that’s sharp, strategic, and visually compelling. This role is central to how we communicate value before a contract is ever signed.

The Role:

As our Proposal Strategist & Designer, you’ll own the creation of custom proposals and pitch materials for prospective clients. You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, and creative leadership to translate discovery notes into tailored strategies and then quickly design presentations that make the case visually and logically.

This role blends strategy, communication, and design. You’ll need to understand the difference between LSA ads and organic social, and know when to recommend each. You’ll also need to keep everything aligned with our brand standards while moving fast and staying sharp under pressure.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with sales and strategy teams to build custom, accurate, and compelling proposals
  • Recommend the right services for each prospect — based on notes, briefs, or quick strategy huddles
  • Design high-impact proposals using a blend of tools like Keynote, Qwilr, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ensure proposals reflect GSF’s visual identity and clearly communicate the “why” behind our approach
  • Maintain flexible internal frameworks for proposals without relying on copy/paste methods
  • Spot and fix misaligned messaging or inaccurate service recommendations before they go out
  • Help improve our proposal workflow, visual standards, pricing, and service-matching process over time

What You’ll Need:

  • A strong grasp of digital marketing services—especially paid ads (Google, Meta, LSA), video production, websites, and content
  • Confidence recommending service mixes based on client goals
  • Design ability—strong eye for layout, hierarchy, and visual storytelling
  • Fluency in Keynote, Qwilr, Adobe tools, or similar platforms
  • Excellent communication and writing skills—you can explain the “why” with clarity
  • Attention to detail—you notice when bullets are off, when slides don’t flow, or when messaging doesn’t match the original conversation

Bonus If You:

  • Have agency or sales experience
  • Know how to lead a project, not just execute tasks
  • Enjoy explaining strategy and thinking alongside the sales team

This Role is For Someone Who:

  • Gets energized by creating clarity from chaos
  • Can confidently speak to what we offer and why it matters
  • Thinks like a strategist and works like a designer
  • Believes a proposal is the first proof of value—not just a document

Benefits + Compensation:

  • Full-Time Employee
  • Hybrid work from home (a minimum of 15 hrs per week in our Lebanon, TN office)
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
  • 12 paid holiday days annually
  • Monthly cell phone stipend
  • Monthly home office stipend
  • Healthcare Coverage (50% paid for by company)
  • Dental Coverage (50% paid for by company)
  • Vision Coverage (100% paid for by company)
  • SIMPLE IRA Plan (3% match by company)
