The Role:

As Digital Ads Specialist, you’ll be hands-on inside ad platforms every day — building campaigns, optimizing performance, pulling reports, and managing creative assets across Google, Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn for multiple clients simultaneously. You’ll work directly under our Paid Media Manager, who will train you on our workflows, share strategy context, and invest in your development. This role is built for someone who’s sharp on execution.

This position reports to our Paid Media Manager, and is under the VP of Marketing.

Specific tasks of the Digital Ads Specialist include...

Paid Media Execution (85% of Job):

  • Build, launch, and optimize paid media campaigns across the following platforms:
    • Google Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max, Local Service Ads (LSA), and Vehicle Listing Ads (VLA)
    • Meta (Facebook/Instagram), including Advantage+ Shopping and catalog-based inventory ads
    • TikTok, including Automotive Inventory Ads (AIAs)
    • LinkedIn
  • Optimize targeting, bidding, creative rotation, and conversion flows daily.
  • Implement and troubleshoot tracking systems: Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Conversions API (CAPI), GA4 events, TikTok Pixel and Events API.
  • Manage budget allocation and pacing to ensure efficient use of client ad spend.
  • Receive finished creative from our production team and place it correctly across all ad platforms — right format, right dimensions, right placement. Vertical assets in vertical placements (Stories, Reels), horizontal in horizontal. Getting this right every time matters to us.
  • Compile weekly and monthly ad spend and performance reports across all platforms.
  • Upload final video assets to YouTube with accurate metadata, descriptions, and tags.

For Automotive Clients Specifically:

  • Set up and manage Google Vehicle Listing Ad (VLA) campaigns with inventory feed integration via Google Merchant Center.
  • Manage Advantage+ Shopping campaigns and catalog-based Automotive Inventory Ads using feeds from vAuto and similar inventory providers.
  • Build and optimize Performance Max campaigns, including automotive-specific inventory feeds.
  • Work within dealer platforms such as vAuto, Dealer.com, VinSolutions, and DealerSocket as needed.

Internal Collaboration & Administrative (15% of Job):

  • Align paid media efforts with larger client goals through collaboration with account managers and strategists.
  • Work alongside the Creative and Video teams to brief, review, and optimize ad creatives.
  • Contribute to tactical recommendations during monthly client performance reviews.
  • Manage platform account structures and assist with agency access, billing, and roles.

This job might be a great fit if you...

  • Have 2+ years of hands-on campaign management across Google, Meta, and/or TikTok.
  • Have direct experience running paid ads for new car franchise dealerships — including VLAs, Performance Max, and dealer inventory feeds. This is a significant advantage, but if you’re strong on the platforms and a fast learner, we still want to hear from you.
  • Are comfortable in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads (Search, YouTube, Display, PMax), and ideally TikTok Ads Manager.
  • Have Google Tag Manager and GA4 setup experience.
  • Have sharp attention to detail on creative placement — correct aspect ratios for every placement type, every time.
  • Understand attribution, funnel mapping, and what it means to spend money like it’s your own.
  • Love solving problems, digging into data, and finding what actually works.
  • Are already using (or eager to use) AI tools and automation as a force multiplier — not as a crutch, but to move faster and make better decisions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Working familiarity with vAuto, Dealer.com, VinSolutions, DealerSocket, CDK Global, or Reynolds & Reynolds.
  • Google Ads certification (Search, Display, or Video).
  • Meta Blueprint certification.
  • Experience building custom automations, scripts, or workflows that improve ad operations.
  • Agency experience and Mac fluency.
  • Cursory knowledge of basic HTML for pixel placement, JavaScript for custom events, or API/CRM integration for tracking.
